Profile
Working in the interior and exhibition industry for the last 15 years has developed my skills as a designer and taught be to be open, objective and visually aware. I like to challenge, surprise and push the boundaries to come up with exciting and successful solutions. Through my work in museums, galleries and theatre I have been fascinated by transforming an empty space into a new and immersive world that allows visitors to escape and experience new untold stories.
I believe all design should be accessible on every level, and inclusive. My design work is influenced by the stories and messages that clients want to tell and allowing the build environment to be integral in the delivery of the space to engage visitors and enhance their enjoyment. I value the importance of creating a nurturing and playful environment to allow a safe, non judgemental space to maximise the creative opportunities in the final design outcome. I am hardworking, focused, a good communicator, self motivated and relish a challenge.
Outside the realms of exhibition design I enjoy regularly attending theatre and participating in dance. I also set up an award winning business illustrating and designing paper model kits of theatres and architectural icons that customers can assemble at home, with a proportion of sales going back to charities.
